Description: Product: These are Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data for NM NORTH CENTRAL FEMA R6 LIDAR 2016 D17 as part of the required deliverables for NM NORTH CENTRAL FEMA R6 LIDAR 2016 D17. Class 2 (ground) lidar points in conjunction with the hydro breaklines and bridge breaklines were used to create a 1 meter hydro-flattened Raster DEM.Geographic Extent: AOI is located within Northern New Mexico. The area of interest covers approximately 12,467 square miles. Dataset Description: NM NORTH CENTRAL FEMA R6 LIDAR 2016 D17 Lidar project called for the Planning, Acquisition, processing and derivative products of lidar data to be collected at a nominal pulse spacing (NPS) of 0.70 meter. Project specifications are based on the U.S. Geological Survey National Geospatial Program Base Lidar Specification, Version 1.2. The data was developed based on a horizontal projection/datum of NAD 1983(2011) UTM Zone 13N, meters and vertical datum of NAVD88 (GEOID12B), meters. Lidar data was delivered as processed Classified LAS 1.4 files, formatted to 15181 individual 1,500 m x 1,500 m tiles, as tiled Intensity Imagery, and as tiled bare earth DEMs; all tiled to the same 1,500 m x 1,500 m schema. Per client request, 47 additional LAS tiles are being delivered that exist outside of the internal Chama Jemez boundary. These tiles were not subject to manual QA/QC or hydro-flattening. The total LAS delivery count is 15228. The 47 additional tiles are also included in Tile Index shapefile. The total DEM IMG/Intensity TIF file count is 15181. The NM_North Central FEMA R6 Lidar _2016_D17 task order shares an acquisition border with the Southern San Luis Basin (Upper Rio Grande) NM-CO QL2 Lidar (FY15) task order. A small amount of Southern San Luis Basin data was used to fill out coverage in the NM_North Central project. Tiles 13SDA635095,13SDA635080, 13SDA650080, 13SDA635065, 13SDA035275, 13SDA020260 and 13SDA035260 contain data from San Luis Basin. Ground Conditions: Lidar was collected between October 2, 2016 and October 25, 2017 by Woolpert. In order to post process the lidar data to meet task order specifications and meet ASPRS vertical accuracy guidelines, Woolpert established a total of 222 ground control points that were used to calibrate the lidar to known ground locations established throughout the project area. Additional independent accuracy checkpoints were collected (328 NVA points and 251 VVA points) and used to assess the vertical accuracy of the data. These checkpoints were not used to calibrate or post process the data.
